Phew! I guess it's about time to start dusting off the old brain, and get back to real life.
So, with that, the continuation of the Dry Erase Board Chronicles...
As if marketing to people who don't care about you is hard enough, try doing it tomorrow, when the tools for shutting you off get even easier, more intuitive and more commonplace. I don't know if you guys remember the scene from the Matrix where Neo just puts up his hand, stopping the bullets screaming towards him, then takes a second to pause and look more closely at one of his choosing, but it's a pretty good metaphor for the marketing landscape lazy, magic bean marketers have created for us to clean up.
Now, we just have to find where we fit in. Or, if we fit in.
Great Diagram, Paul. Reminds me of why blogs are so popular... you can quickly search on Technorati and find a voice about almost anything.
Blog=Voice=Market?
Hmmmm...

Is it too late for you to go to art school?

Nice work, Paul. Simple and effective. Just how I like it. :)

Nice radio interview. Happy Holidays!

The more things change, the more they... "Now, we just have to find where we fit in. Or, if we fit in." Seems like this has been my mission all my life.

John, it's beautiful, isn't it? It's just such an easy way to always keep learning and growing. Great stuff.
Tim- you suck. I kick ass at art. My mom said so.
Cam, David, and Lewis- Thanks guys! Simple is always the way to go. And, Lewis, I think that's most people's mission. It's just weird for all these marketers with gobs of money still having trouble finding a place. Money used to be just about everything...

The blog is the most revolutionary communication tool in the history of humanity, made possible by language, writing, democracy, the printing press, internet, and web.
For the first time in history, every human can express his or her opinion and publish that opinion to a global audience. Not that everyone will read it, but everyone can read it.
Access to a computer hooked up to the internet, plus the political freedom of Free Thought and Self Expression, are all it takes.
Blogging costs no money, unless you wish to go with paid services, but it needs a time investment.
If you're already famous, you don't need to blog much to keep an audience probably. But for the average person, you must blog frequently and post comments at other blogs frequently.
As we usher in the Global Democracy Movement, Universal Content Utopia, and Share Economy, the old outmoded patterns and systems of sales and marketing begin to wither away and disappear. Good riddance.
Now it's We The People who are large and in charge.

"Cam, David, and Lewis- Thanks guys! Simple is always the way to go."
Especially when you're trying to communicate with me.
Also, I think Tim was trying to say you should teach art school. Right, Tim? :)

Cam's right, you should teach; is there a Learning Annex there in Dallas? "Stick Figures and How to Communicate." I think I smell a winner!
